Simply Homemade was created many years ago. After graduating college with a business degree, working in the banking industry for many years, I decided that I wanted to stay at home and watch my children grow. I knew that running a business from home would be challenging but have always felt such great satisfaction from watching others enjoy my cooking. In 1989 I started a catering business and things went very well.

Then in 2001, a friend asked me to make pizzelles for his bakery.  I had never made pizzelles before, but loved to cook, so I came up with my own recipe and Voila’!!  My cookies were a hit!!  I continued to sell to small wholesale accounts throughout the local area.

In October of 2006, I was introduced to a food broker, who believed there was a need for a really good pizzelle out there.  He was very impressed with the product and we gave it a shot.

We started with a visit to a huge supermarket chain and they bought the product on the spot.  Our pizzelles were immediately ordered for 35 stores.  Now we have grown to 350 stores with distribution throughout New England and New York State. Some of those stores include: Hannaford, Big Y, Shaws and Roche Brothers.  We also have many independent gourmet stores.

My husband and family have now joined forces with me and we look forward to our continued growth.
